What happens at KEEN Gardening?
The KEEN allotment was an exciting new project in January 2019! Our first crops were a huge success and we need your ideas for what to plant next. Whether you want to do digging, planting, watering or weeding there’s always jobs to get stuck in with. Or you might just want to enjoy being outside in the beautiful allotments.
Our gardening is a more relaxed, less structured session and we always aim to provide one-to-one support where needed. The allotment is wheelchair accessible.
What are the benefits?
Being on the allotment can bring a sense of clam and happiness to many participants, it’s hard to come here without feeling better. The project is well suited to people who prefer to be outside or in less noisy environments.
Everyone who comes along has a say in what we’re growing on the allotment and how we do that. It’s great to see the process through from choosing seeds to eating our own fruit and veg.
